California C-61 Limited Specialty Contractor License

How To Get A California C-61 Limited Specialty Contractor License

The California C-61 Limited Specialty Contractor License is designed for contractors who perform specialized construction work that does not fit within one of the standard CSLB specialty classifications. The CSLB issues C-61 licenses with specific "D" subcategories that identify the contractor's field of expertise.

What Is A C-61 Limited Specialty License?

A C-61 license is a specialty contractor classification limited to a specific field and scope of operations approved by the CSLB. The license is restricted to the specialty area for which the contractor demonstrates qualifications.
